  • Teen Advisory Board seeks new members

    December 28, 2022 – The North Olympic Library System (NOLS) is inviting teens in 7th-12th grades to join the Teen Advisory Board, and help shape their library. Members of the Teen Advisory Board will gain leadership skills while collaborating with library staff and peers from around the county to plan teen events and help make the library a fun, supportive, and engaging place for teens.

  • Build It! program extended in Forks and Port Angeles, new in Clallam Bay

    December 7, 2022 – The North Olympic Library System (NOLS) is extending its monthly Build It! program through April — continuing the program at the Port Angeles Main Library, expanding drop-in hours at the Forks Branch, and adding the program at the Clallam Bay Branch. Kids can let their imaginations run free while they construct their own creations using LEGO® bricks. Participants are encouraged to write a story about their creation, which will be photographed during the program.

    September 29, 2022 – The North Olympic Library System (NOLS) and Juan de Fuca Foundation for the Arts (JFFA) are collaborating to celebrate the Day of the Dead – el Día de Muertos or Día de los Muertos in Spanish – a traditional holiday observed throughout Mexico and parts of the United States, which honors and remembers friends and family members who have passed on.     May 16, 2022 – Acclaimed novelist Jamie Ford will join the North Olympic Library System (NOLS) virtually on Saturday, May 21 at 2pm to present Racebending: Adventures in a Bi-Cultural World.     March 23, 2022 – The North Olympic Library System (NOLS) is excited to announce the return of the Rain or Shine! Outdoor Storytime series. These outdoor storytimes will be held April 1, 2022 through May 31, 2022. In Forks, Storytimes will be held on Fridays at 10:30am at Tillicum Park. Storytimes at the Port Angeles Main Library will be held on Fridays at 10:30am on the lawn outside of the children’s area.   • Rapid Antigen COVID Test Kits Available at West End Libraries

    January 14, 2022 – The North Olympic Library System (NOLS) is partnering with the Clallam County Department of Health & Human Services to provide FREE rapid antigen COVID testing kits to residents on the West End of Clallam County.

    A self-administered antigen test is available for pick up at the library curbside window, if you have been exposed to COVID-19 or are currently experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. At-home results are available in 15 minutes. If your rapid test comes back positive for COVID-19, please report your results to www.clallam.net/coronovirus.
