The Summer Reading Program is free, it’s fun, and it’s for everyone – from babies to grown-ups! Sign up for the Reading Challenge online or at your branch to get a free book, then track your reading to earn a free T-shirt and chances to win awesome grand prizes.
Take & Make: Squishy Soap
Beginning Monday, August 1, while supplies last
All Squishy Soap have been claimed at the Port Angeles Main Library and Clallam Bay Branch.
Families and teens can make their own squishy soap with a few simple ingredients. Make different soaps in fun colors, sculpt it like playdough, and tear off a piece to make hand washing more fun! Adult supervision is recommended. Kits will be available for pickup at all NOLS branches beginning Monday, August 1 while supplies last.
Take & Make Tiny Landscape Painting & Mini Art Show
As of July 7, all Tiny Landscape Paintings have been claimed.
Mini Art Show will be held August 1-15
All Tiny Landscape Painting kits have been claimed. If you picked up a kit before supplies ran out, bring your completed painting to your branch by August 1 for the Mini Art Show through August 15.

2nd Saturday Book Discussion Group

The Second Saturday Book Discussion Group brings great fiction and nonfiction, classic and contemporary books to life, exploring those shared lives together. Join the Second Saturday Book Discussion Group every second Saturday of the month at 3pm.
Starting in July, this group will meet in person in the field behind the Sequim Branch Library. In the event of inclement weather, this discussion will take place indoors. All are welcome to join the conversation! Registration is recommended.

Free board games, art, and pizza for 7th-12th graders after hours at the Sequim Branch Library on second Fridays, September to December (first Friday in November). Bring your own games or play one from the collection. There will also be drawing, origami, and other art supplies to create your next masterpiece.

NOLS hosted a virtual talk with author Summer Michaud-Skog about her new book Fat Girls Hiking: An Inclusive Guide to Getting Outdoors at Any Size or Ability. She is the founder of Fat Girls Hiking, a hiking community centered on a body positive mission to get people of diverse backgrounds out on trails no matter their size, ability, or experience level.
