The North Olympic Library System is the place for special events and activities for all ages and interests. The Library sponsors storytimes and reading readiness programs for children, film showings, author visits, and community information programs, library orientations and tours and much more. Library meeting rooms are used regularly by local groups such as clubs and non-profits for presentations, lectures and other programs. Connect with your community at the Library!

Junior Science Explorers

Junior Science Explorers, a program designed for children ages 4-6 and their caregivers, will introduce children to the scientific concepts behind rocketry. Children will learn about, build, and take home a rocket for future explorations. Registration is required.

Battle of the Books

September - March

Battle of the Books is a year-long collaborative project between NOLS and schools from around Clallam County, including homeschooled students. From October through February, Library staff will hold book discussions at fourth-grade classrooms, as well as facilitate a homeschooled group.

Storytimes

NOLS offers weekly storytimes September through May. Other special storytimes are offered throughout the year at each branch. Library storytimes create critically important early literacy opportunities for young children and their parents or caregivers.
