Educator Cards allow an extended check out period of 42 days for materials (except DVDs and Interlibrary Loans), and do not incur overdue fines. Materials checked out to an educator card cannot be renewed and charges for lost and damaged items still apply.
The Library offers many services and resources for people with disabilities. In Port Angeles, services include electric scooters and a computer with a magnifying screen for people with vision impairments. All branches have large print materials and audio books.
If you have difficulty getting out of your house or care facility because of a disability, illness or other condition, the Library’s Outreach program can be your link with the Library.

Miss browsing the collection? Request a NOLS Grab Bag! Each bag will contain up to 10 items selected by library staff and will be available for pickup via curbside service.
In 1970, Bert Kellogg donated a collection of over 5,000 photos and negatives from the late 19th and early 20th centuries to the North Olympic Library System. Mr. Kellogg worked for 30 years copying and restoring photos.
Laptops are available for a 3-hour loan period, for use on library property. The laptops automatically connect to NOLS Wi-Fi (and do not connect to any other network). Laptops are available to NOLS cardholders on a first-come, first-served basis during library curbside hours.
Getting a library card is easy! If you are a resident of Clallam County, bring in proof of identification and an item with your current local address on it. The library offers several types of library cards.

Public computers are available at all NOLS libraries. 15 minute express stations provide quick and easy Internet access. Full service stations allow patrons to go online, use Microsoft applications including Word and Excel and print to NOLS printers.

Here’s the place to suggest an item that you have not been able to find in the library catalog. Unfortunately, NOLS is not able to purchase all suggested items, and not all items are available through interlibrary loan.
