1000 Books Before Kindergarten

The 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program is a nationwide challenge that encourages parents and caregivers to regularly read aloud to their children. Read 1,000 books with the children in your life before they begin kindergarten and instill key language and vocabulary skills.

Teacher Kits

Teacher Kits are intended for use in classrooms. Each kit includes an assortment of books on a topic as well as a list of resources and ideas to use in curriculum planning.


Educator Cards

The Educator Card provides support for educators so that they may borrow library materials for use in classrooms and educational settings. They allow for an extended check out period of 42 days for materials (except DVDs and Interlibrary Loans), and do not incur overdue fines.
