Take your family to the Feiro Marine Life Center!

Feiro Marine Life Center and NOLS have partnered to bring the joy of marine science to your family for free! Now you can place a hold on the Feiro pass with your NOLS card. The pass offers free entry for up to 6 people: 2 adults and 4 children. Patrons who check out a pass will have access to the Feiro for up to 7 days.

The Feiro Marine Life Center showcases sea stars, crabs, scallops, anemones, fish and other marine life, all living within 20 miles of Port Angeles, from the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Get a hands-on view at the microscope station and check out some of the area’s natural history through displays of whale bones and shells, sculptures and murals, and three touch tanks. The Feiro Marine Life Center is a fun, safe, and easy way for people of all ages and physical abilities to experience the marine waters of the North Olympic Peninsula.

Feiro Marine Life Center is located on the Port Angeles City Pier and is open Thursdays – Mondays, 12pm – 4pm. (Closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays).

Exploring local marine life is great at any age, and research shows that kids who are encouraged to explore their surroundings are more motivated to become curious, engaged learners. NOLS offers many resources to pique that curiosity. Books, documentaries, and other materials are available for all ages about the anemones, octopuses, sea cucumbers and other fascinating marine life that can be found in our local waters. Browse the collection, or stop by your local library for help finding that perfect read.
