NOLS is pleased to announce that over 3,000 popular magazines are now available to read on any device 24/7. For the first time, library card holders can read digital magazines alongside eBooks and eAudiobooks on Libby, or by visiting anytime.overdrive.com/anytime-north/magazines. Top titles include Cook’s Illustrated, Field and Stream, Mother Earth News, and many other popular magazines. Over 1,200 regularly-published magazines are available in English, along with 1,300 special single-issue English-language titles, nearly 200 Spanish-language titles, and over 650 titles in other languages, including Chinese, Japanese, French, and more!
Digital magazines available include Bride & Groom, Bicycling, Cosmo, Family Tree, Fly Fisherman, Home Design, McCall’s Quilting, Men’s Health, Military History, National Geographic History, and hundreds more.
Digital magazines have no wait lists or holds, do not count towards checkout limits, and provide readers the option to renew their selections. NOLS patrons can also download magazines to the Libby app for offline use. Readers can browse lists of magazines within the app and search by format to find available titles. All titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period. There are no late fees.
Readers can use the Libby app to browse NOLS’ digital collection, instantly borrow titles, and start reading or listening—all free with a NOLS library card. Libby is compatible with all major devices: iPhone®, iPad®, Android™ phones and tablets, and Chromebook™. Through Libby, readers can also “send to Kindle®.”
