The North Olympic Library System (NOLS) is celebrating Pride Month in June by offering family-friendly activities at Forks and Clallam Bay libraries, and providing free resources at other community events. June is also recognized as Rainbow Book Month, an initiative of the American Library Association that fosters community, understanding and access to LGBTQIA+ literature.
Clallam County Poet Laureate Nellie Bridge invites people of all ages to compose poetry at a free event, “Silent Hike at the Spit,” beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 31. Participants are to meet at the entrance down to the Dungeness Spit Trail in Sequim.
Community members are invited to free Father’s Day-themed programs on June 10 at the Forks Library, 171 S. Forks Ave., and on June 11 at the Clallam Bay Library, 16990 Hwy. 112.
