Welcome Back to the Library

The shelves at the Sequim Branch Library are jam-packed with books, magazines, DVDs, and audiobooks. Come visit the library during Grab and Go Browsing hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2pm-6pm and Saturdays from 10am-1pm, to browse the shelves for interesting titles to take home and enjoy. Library staff are excited to welcome community members back inside the library again! It’s been a long year.

Providing both curbside and in-library service is a bit of a challenge at the Sequim Branch due to the entrance layout. If you prefer curbside pickup during Grab and Go hours on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and Saturday mornings, please plan on allowing extra time. The best time for curbside pickup is during curbside-only hours: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10am-6pm, Tuesday and Thursday from 10am-2pm and Saturdays from 1pm-4pm. Service hours will continue to be adjusted as the library is able to expand services.

One temporary change patrons will notice at the Sequim Branch is the method for holds pickup. Patrons will request their holds from staff at the checkout desk; self-serve holds pickup is currently not available due to space constraints. Self-checkout stations are located in two separate areas to allow for adequate distancing.

For now, Grab and Go visits are limited to 15 minutes or less. Masks are required for everyone entering the building and maximum occupancy is 25%. When returning library materials, items should be placed in the outdoor bookdrop bins before entering the library. All indoor returns are currently closed at the Sequim Branch.

Laptops are available for a 2 hour checkout period during curbside library hours for use outside of the library. Public computers are not yet available inside the library.

All magazine issues are available for checkout at this time, including current issues. If you haven’t browsed the magazines, consider exploring what’s available. Magazines at the Sequim Branch include Alaska, Canadian Geographic, Cook’s Country, National Geographic Kids, The Sun, Vanity Fair, and This Old House, along with dozens of additional titles. You can also place holds on specific issues through the online catalog at nols.org.
