Second Saturday Science at the Sequim Branch Library

Second Saturday Science at the Sequim Branch of the North Olympic Library System (NOLS) will be offered every second Saturday of the month from December through April. 2017 Caldecott Medalist and nationally renowned artist Javaka Steptoe will offer an all-ages hands-on art workshop at the Port Angeles Main Library, Thursday, November 9 at 6:30pm. During the workshop, participants will use a wide variety of materials to make artwork based off themes found in Steptoe’s work.

Advanced Planning Seminar in Clallam Bay

The North Olympic Library System (NOLS) will offer an Advanced Planning Seminar at the Clallam Bay Branch Library on Friday, November 3, at 1:30pm. The seminar is expected to last about three hours. Judy McCay and Karen Griffith will lead this free, engaging, and practical seminar.

Clallam Bay Pumpkin Decorating and Carving Contest

The Clallam Bay Branch of the North Olympic Library System (NOLS) will host its fourth annual all-ages pumpkin decorating and carving contest. Artists are invited to submit their completed creations during regular library hours beginning at 11am on Monday, October 30, until judging commences at 4pm on Tuesday, October 31.

After-Hours Teen Lock-In in PA

The North Olympic Library System (NOLS) will host an After-Hours Lock-In for teens ages 12-18 on Monday, October 30 at the Port Angeles Main Library. The nights’ activities will include karaoke, snacks, Jackbox Party video games, and more. The event will take place from 6-8pm inside the library.

Seattle quartet Kuinka (coo-WINK-uh) will begin performing at 7pm at the Port Angeles branch during the quarterly Art Blast. Doors open at 6:30pm; Refreshments will be served, and limited library services will be available during this free after-hours event.

Lift weights, try a Zumba class, or shoot some hoops! The North Olympic Library System (NOLS) has partnered with the YMCA in Port Angeles to make a free pass available for checkout beginning September 18. A NOLS YMCA pass offers library card holders a free, fun and easy way exercise.

North Olympic Library System offers Fine Amnesty Program

From Friday, September 15, through Saturday, September 30, all four branches of the North Olympic Library System will hold a community resource drive with a twist: accrued library fines will be waived, in exchange for a donation of nonperishable food, diapers, or pet food.

Yoga Storytime at the Port Angeles Main Library and Sequim Branch Library

The Port Angeles Main Library will host a Yoga Storytime for children ages 4-5 on Tuesday, September 12, at 10:15am, and one for toddlers on Friday, September 15, at 10:15am. The Sequim Branch Library will host a preschool Yoga Storytime on Wednesday, September 27, at 10:30am as well as a toddler Yoga Storytime on Thursday, September 28, at 10:30am.

Kids Create Art at the Sequim Branch Library

The popular Kids Create Art series at the Sequim Branch of the North Olympic Library System (NOLS) begins another season this fall with three new artists introducing new media and topics. New Vehicle Rolls In at West End Libraries

With a commitment to connecting community resources to community needs, the North Olympic Library System (NOLS) is delighted to announce the addition of a new vehicle to its NOLS-On-The-Move fleet. The fuel efficient 2017 Toyota Prius was funded in part by a generous donation from the Benjamin N. Phillips Memorial Fund. The $18,000 grant was awarded to NOLS by the Seattle Foundation in September 2016.
