The timed Crossword Contest begins at 10am sharp! Come as a team of two people, work on your own, or find a teammate at this new event. All teams will be provided with three crossword puzzles (one “easy,” and two “medium” difficulty).
Finishing first doesn’t guarantee a win! Puzzles will be scored for accuracy and winners announced by the following Tuesday on the Library’s Facebook page.
If no team completes all three puzzles during the two-hour contest, the team with the most correct answers will be declared the winner. The scoring method is based on the official American Crossword Puzzle Tournament (ACPT) scoring rules, with points awarded for correct words, fully complete and correct puzzles, and bonus points based on solution time.
Adults, teens, and children ages 12 and older may compete.
