Battle of the Books is a book group for 4th grade students offered by NOLS in collaboration with school in Clallam County. During the 2023-2024 school year 12 schools and 170 students participated in monthly discussions with NOLS youth services librarians. Each student received free copies of three books to keep.

Final Trivia Competition
Port Angeles Main Library
Friday, March 22, 6:30-7:30pm

As a culmination of the program, nine school teams participated in a trivia-style competition. In an extremely close race that went well into overtime, “The Blue Titans” team from Helen Haller Elementary won the 2024 Battle of the Books and were awarded a trophy. Congratulations and kudos to all of the students for excellent sportsmanship and teamwork!

Students Must Check-in by 6:15pm
All students participating in the competition must check-in with Library staff in the Carver Room by 6:15pm. Failure to check-in on time may result in an alternate student being used on the team.
