Books & Libations returns in a new evolution: Books & Locations! This event is designed to take you to unique and amazing North Olympic Peninsula places while connecting you to great new books—and other readers—at a time that works for you! Enjoy perfect pairings for 6 weeks throughout the summer with places ranging from east to west across Clallam County, from the mountain ridges to the seashore, and with book titles from a range of genres, matched in tone and mood to each location. Invite a friend or explore on your own.

Books and Locations

Audio files dropped weekly through July. Listen anytime!

Each audio file includes “tasting notes” on the location for the week, followed by a book talk about the paired title. Tasting notes may include location history facts, plant identification tips, how to spot birds or animals, and more. Listen online or download to your mobile device. You may choose to listen at home before setting out, in the car on the way to the weekly destination, or on the trail.

Each week also has an accessible alternative location. The alternate location will share something in common with the primary location—sweeping views, alpine flowers, etc.—while being more accessible for participants with limited mobility.
