Port Angeles Main Library
Battle of the Books is a year-long collaborative project between NOLS and eleven schools from around Clallam County. For five months, library staff visited fourth-grade classrooms in Port Angeles, Joyce, Forks, La Push and Sequim, and facilitated book discussions for students. All participating students received free copies of the books read throughout the year and a T-shirt featuring original artwork by a participating student.
As a culmination of the program, teams of students from each school will compete for a trophy at 6:30pm on Friday, March 22, at the Port Angeles Main Library. All students participating in the battle must check-in at the Port Angeles Main Library Carver Meeting Room by 6:10pm. Failure to check-in on time will result in an alternate student being used on the team.
