(360)417-8503   Outreach to Homebound

Outreach Service is provided free to any adult or child who lives in Clallam County and is unable, for one reason or another, to get to a branch of the library. Some reasons may include:

  • Being elderly and unable to get around easily.

  • Being visually or physically handicapped.

  • Having an illness that prevents traveling to a library branch.

  • Being a non-driver unable to take advantage of public transportation.

Outreach staff and volunteers make regular visits to homebound patrons with library materials which may include regular print and large print books, music on tape or CD, audio book cassettes and most other materials available to library patrons.

Outreach acts as a liaison with the Washington Talking Book and Braille Library located in Seattle. The department can help with the filling out of applications, the demonstration of special equipment, and troubleshooting for the Talking Book patrons in our area.

If you want to receive Outreach services or know someone who is eligible, please call the Outreach department at 417-8503 or use this form.
