On Your Mark Get Set, Read!

2016 Summer Reading Program
For young adults 12-18
June 20 — August 20

Summer Reading Challenge for Teens

  • Sign up at your library for summer reading and receive a
    free book!
  • For every 14 hours you read between June 20 and August 20, you will be entered in a drawing for an awesome outdoor adventure on the Peninsula.
  • The winner will have their choice of a kayak trip, a plane ride, or a whale-watching expedition!
  • There’s no limit to how many entries you can earn: the more you read the better your chances!
  • There will also be a special NOLS t-shirt awarded to everyone who reads for 100 hours!

Are you ready for the Lego Mindstorm challenge? Work in pairs to program, conduct experiments, and modify a rover-style robot that will solve puzzles and complete challenges!

Sequim educator Caleb Gentry will teach the basics of program design during the free sessions: attend one or attend them all!

For teens ages 12-18. Limited space is available, and pre-registration is recommended.
Click on event date below to register online, or contact your nearby NOLS branch library.

This program is made possible in part by the Washington State Library.

Volunteers assist with programs, help lead storytimes, and have a lot of fun!
