It’s never too early to read to your child! Summer reading is for everyone—old and young. Research shows that reading, singing, playing, talking and writing with your child can increase kindergarten readiness. The library can help support these activities through its programs and early learning spaces. Sign up for summer reading and visit the library today!
Complete seven early literacy activities with the child in your life to receive a free board book, and have your name entered in a grand prize drawing for a pass to Olympic National Park!
For parents/caregivers and babies ages 0-5
It’s time for fingerplay camp! Learn fingerplays, rhymes, and songs for babies, toddlers & waddlers.
For all ages
Come dressed as your favorite superhero for a special evening storytime. Stories, crafts, science, and music.
For stuffed animals of all ages
What happens in the library at night? Stuffed animals are invited to find out at a special stuffed animal sleepover. Bring your stuffed animal to the library by 3pm on Friday, July 10, and return to pick it up on Saturday to receive a souvenir from your stuffed friend’s adventures at the library.
For toddlers and preschoolers and a parent or caregiver in their lives
Enjoy stories, songs, fingerplays and crafts. Fun for toddlers and preschoolers!
Additional events for adults and all-ages can be found on each NOLS Branch Events page.
