In 1970, Bert Kellogg donated a collection of over 5000 photos and negatives from the late 19th and early 20th centuries to the North Olympic Library System. Mr. Kellogg worked for 30 years copying and restoring photos that he borrowed from old timers, found in old trunks, or purchased at rummage sales. The collection includes photographs of pioneers, trains, Native Americans, ships, logging, and views of early towns and sites in Clallam County as well as limited locations in other Washington communities. Over 1,100 of the Kellogg photos are available for viewing at the Washington Rural Heritage website
The collection is also available in slide sets and in photo albums.
Reproduction of Kellogg Collection photographs and negatives requires permission from the North Olympic Library System. For further information contact the Port Angeles Reference Department, 2210 S. Peabody St., Port Angeles, WA 98362, or at
