E-Books @ the Library
The North Olympic Library System has been offering e-readers for check out since December 2011, pre-loaded with ten popular fiction and nonfiction titles for adults. NOLS has recently added more titles to these devices for readers of all tastes. NOLS will now be offering e-readers with pre-loaded content for young readers as well. The devices are available at all branches. Find them in the catalog here and click “More Info” to see a full title list or ask at the customer service desk of your local North Olympic Library System branch.
The Nook Simple Touch e-reader has a touch screen allowing you to turn the “page” with the swipe of a finger, and you can adjust the font type and size for your reading comfort. E-readers check out for three weeks, and holds can be placed on them.

Need pointers on downloading e-books and audio books?
The Anytime Library service (OverDrive) has revamped its help pages to make it easier for you to find answers to your e-device questions. Their help files are now searchable by topic and/or device.
