Library Board

The Board of Trustees employs the Library Director who, with guidance from the Board, is responsible for the operation of the library.
 

After an intensive nationwide search, Paula Simpson Barnes has been announced as the new Library Director. The Board of Trustees formally confirmed Barnes' appointment as Library Director at their regular monthly meeting on June 19. Ms. Barnes was most recently the Director of Palo Alto City Library in California.  She has also been the Director of the Monterey, California, Public Library, and the Josephine County Library in southern Oregon. She currently resides in the Sequim area where she relocated last year with her husband Aaron Barnes. Ms. Barnes cares deeply about libraries and their importance in our communities and brings a wealth of experience and vitality to this important position.
