Seed saving presentation kicks off Second Annual Skill Share Fair at the Port Angeles Main Library

September 15, 2014 - A special seed saving presentation will kick off the North Olympic Library System’s Second Annual Skill Share Fair at 11am on Saturday, September 20, inside the Port Angeles Main Library. Seed Saving: The Why and How will showcase different ways of saving seeds, as well as how to harvest and preserve seeds from your own garden for future growing seasons. Read Full Article

Educator Open House at the Port Angeles Main Library

September 8, 2014 - The North Olympic Library System will host an Educator Open House from 4-6pm on Wednesday, September 17 at the Port Angeles Main Library. Local teachers, daycare providers, and other educators will have the opportunity to meet Youth Services Staff and discuss new library services for educators, sign up to receive Educator Cards, and learn about upcoming programs. All Aboard for Kindergarten Express!

September 5, 2014 - Kindergarten Express, a weekly program designed for 4 to 5 year olds, will resume at the Port Angeles Main Library on Tuesday, September 9, at 10:15am. The Port Angeles Main Library is offering 30-minute appointments with expert library staff for hands-on, one-on-one technology tutoring between 4pm and 7pm on Thursday, September 11 and 25. Stuffed Animal Sleepover at the Forks Library

September 4, 2014 - On Wednesday, September 17, at 6pm, the Forks Branch of the North Olympic Library System invites children between the ages of three and five to dress in pajamas and bring a favorite stuffed animal for a special “sleepover” edition of storytime. Animal friends will remain in the library for an overnight stay and can be picked up the following morning. Read Full Article

Toddler Storytimes at the Port Angeles Main Library

August 27, 2014 - Toddler Storytimes for children between the ages of 18 months and 3 years will resume at 10:15am on Friday, September 12, at the Port Angeles Main Library. This free program will occur every Friday from September 12 to November 21, and from January 9 to May 22. Storytimes feature picture books, fingerplays, music, and plenty of movement and wiggles. Storytimes at the Forks Branch Library

August 22, 2014 - The Forks Branch of the North Olympic Library System is offering monthly and weekly fall storytimes for toddlers and preschoolers beginning September 5 and continuing through December.
