Friends of the Library

What makes the difference between a good library and a great one? Friends! The North Olympic Library System partners with four terrific Friends of the Library groups. Friends raise money to support programs and other needs beyond the limits of public funding. Friends volunteer at their local library. Friends advocate for better libraries for their communities.

Port Angeles Friends of the Library

Books.  Signs.  Flowers.  Children’s programs.  The Port Angeles Friends of the Library help the Library in lots of different ways.  Have you seen the brand new sign on Lauridsen Boulevard or the directional signs to the Library on Race Street and elsewhere?  Have you enjoyed the gorgeous flower baskets at the entrance of the Library every summer?  Or have you read one of the hundreds of new books purchased with funds donated by the Friends?  Find out how you can be a Friend. Friends of the Clallam Bay Library

Can a small group of determined Friends of the Library add 4,000 sq ft to a cramped and crowded 1,100 sq ft branch library?  You bet they can.  Find out more, including how you can help them buy furniture and books for the Clallam Bay Branch Library. Friends of Sequim Library

Have you checked out the popular monthly book sales sponsored by the Friends of Sequim Library? Please join us on the second Saturday of each month from 10am to 3pm for one of the biggest and best used book sales in the area. The Friends fund the Sequim Branch Library’s children's summer reading program, we help purchase books and media for the Library, and we fund other special needs of the Sequim Branch. Forks Friends of the Library
