The Board of Trustees

The Library Board of Trustees is made up of five residents of Clallam County appointed by the County Commissioners to serve five year terms. In its membership the Board strives to represent the entire geographic area of Clallam County. Management and control of the Library District is vested in the Library Board, which appoints the Library Director to administer operations.

Special Announcement:

NOLS Board of Trustees member Robert Streett and his older son, Robby, died in a tragic car accident July 20th outside of Durango, Colorado, while on a family vacation. Robert’s wife and younger son survived the terrible accident and are currently recovering. Robert was a huge library advocate and heavily involved in the Sequim community, and his son was a volunteer at the Sequim Library. The deaths of Robert and Robby are a tremendous loss for their family, friends and the community. More information about the accident can be found on the Peninsula Daily News website here.

Contacting the Library Director

The Library Director is appointed by the Library Board to administer the operations of the Library. Library Director Margaret Jakubcin was appointed in July 2014. Contact Margaret at 360.417.8500 ext. 7714 or .

Board Meetings

The Library Board generally meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 5:30pm at the Port Angeles Main Library in the Raymond Carver Community Meeting Room. Meetings are open to the public. The Board also strives to meet in each of the branch libraries at least once each year, so please check here for the agenda of the meeting you plan to attend to confirm the location, date and time.
